RMR’s evaluation of Turner Prize and Eastbourne ALIVE explores what the project delivered for Eastbourne and its arts ecosystem.
Eastbourne ALIVE was an ambitious project that brought together local creative partner organisations and artists to celebrate Turner Prize 2023 coming to the town.
Our evaluation considers three main areas – the economic impact, changing perceptions of Eastbourne as a place and partnership working in the arts and cultural sector.
”RMR's work on the evaluation has been exceptional.
They worked incredibly hard across the town not only developing clear economic measurements but also ensuring that they reflected the voices of our partners, our artists, and the residents and visitors alike.
Sarah DanceProject Director, Eastbourne ALIVE
The project started in March 2023 and ran until April 2024. It brought together six delivery partners including the town’s two National Portfolio Organisations – Towner Eastbourne and Devonshire Collective. It was funded by Arts Council England, East Sussex County Council and Eastbourne Borough Council.
The Summary and full Report are available on the Eastbourne ALIVE website along with other resources.
