In May 2021 Ruth presented on the role of evaluation in cultural goverance as a motivator for change.
She spoke at a virtual conference organised by the University of the Algarve in partnership with the Regional Director for Culture in the Algarve, as part of Faro’s bid to became European Capital of Culture 2027.
The talk used examples from her work with Liverpool and Aarhus experience as European Cities of Culture, as well as referencing her experience of evaluating other arts and cultural programmes.
